Position Detail
We are a two-hospital system on the southern border of Virginia, We are growing with the addition of a hospital-employed, full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to strengthen our established team.
Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.
- Join an employed group composed of Hem/Oncs, APP, and Rad/Onc on-site
- Bi-weekly tumor board and clinical trial programs
- Aria Oncology information system
- Averaging 25-30 per day, outpatient clinic
- 10 infusion chairs, 2 quick chairs
- Inpatient treatment referred to large academic centers in the area
- Staffed with navigators, pharmacist, pharm tech, lab tech with lab draws in office, phlebotomist, office manager, clinical director (shared with radiation oncology)
- 24/7 Hospitalist coverage
- Most local cancer referrals come from GS, GI, Uro, Pulm, ENT and Neph. Common Oncology scope breast, prostate, lung, colon, head/neck, with a large Hematology panel
- Good working relationship with tertiary centers in region
- ACOS-CoC accredited
- Low turnover in the clinic with a true family atmosphere
