An experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician is needed in Cooperstown, New York for an ongoing locum assignment. Key Details
- Location: Cooperstown, NY
- Start Date: December 29, 2025 (or January 6, 2026)
- Duration: Ongoing until a permanent hire is made
- Setting: Outpatient only
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- On-Call: None
- Patient Volume: 12–15 patients per day
- Case Mix: ~80% Oncology / ~20% Hematology
- Team Structure: 1 MD and 1 NP onsite
- Support Staff: Nursing and advanced practice providers

Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage both benign and malignant hematology and oncology cases in an outpatient setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform bone marrow procedures when needed (most handled by IR)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- License: Active New York State Medical License (required)
- Certification: Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred in outpatient hematology/oncology
- EMR: Epic experience preferred

- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
