Michigan – Hematology Oncology Opportunity

seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join a nationally recognized Cancer Care Center. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary up to $675,000 with added performance-based bonuses.

  • $50,000 sign-on bonus.

  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, malpractice with tail coverage, 403B with matching, and 457B plans.

  • Generous paid time off (37 days), including holidays, CME, and vacation.

  • $3,500 annual CME stipend (up to $7,000 per year as pre-approved by the Director).

Work Schedule and Call:

  • Monday - Thursday outpatient clinic.

  • Friday half-day for administrative tasks.

  • Shared weekend call schedule.

Position Summary:

The Hematology/Oncology physician will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong commitment to patient care, excellence, and collaboration. The physician will be supported by a team of dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to both inpatient and outpatient populations.

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of hematologic disorders and solid tumors.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including dedicated APPs.

  • Participate in a shared weekend call schedule.

  • Provide occasional coverage at satellite clinic locations.

  • Participate in tumor boards and conferences.

  • Contribute to the growth of the Hematology/Oncology program.

  • Opportunity to teach medical students and residents from Central Michigan University.

  • Participate in clinical research trials.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.

  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan.

  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including collaborating with APPs.

  • Interest in teaching and research is a plus.

  • H1-B visa candidates will be considered (J1 candidates not accepted).
