Locum Hem/Onc Physician needed in Willmar, MN - $3,800/day to $4,000/day

Job Description – Hematology/Oncology Locums

Specialty: Hematology/Oncology (Board Certified in both)
Location: Willmar, MN
Start Date: December 29, 2025
Contract Length: Ongoing (minimum 13 weeks; long-term assignment possible)

Schedule & Coverage

• Full-time, 4 weeks per month (will consider 3 weeks on / 1 week off)

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

• Call: Phone-only call (primarily consultative)

• No weekend rounding unless needed for phone coverage

Practice Environment

• Level III/IV Adult Trauma hospital

• EMR: Epic

• Integrated cancer center with infusion, pharmacy, lab, imaging onsite

• Support services include: RN care coordinator, integrated care team, robust research program, and Coborn Healing Center

• Collaboration with radiation oncology, genetics, palliative care, surgery, cardiology, urology, and plastics

• Coverage extends to CentraCare outreach sites (Alexandria, Monticello, Wadena, Meeker, Montevideo, etc.)

Clinical Scope

• Patient census: variable (typical Heme/Onc caseload)

• Skills: diagnostic/therapeutic taps, arthrocentesis, joint/soft tissue injections

Provider Requirements

• Board Certification: Required (Hematology & Oncology)

• License: MN or IMLC (active/eligible)

• Certifications: BLS, DEA

• Experience: 2+ years preferred

Credentialing

• Process: 60–90 days (longer if insurance credentialing required)

• References: 2–3 completed references required with each submission

• Emergency privileges not typical, full credentialing expected
