Hematology and Oncology Medical Director - Minutes from Myrtle Beach

• Employed practice seeks BE/BC Hematology Oncologist physician to join their team for a directorship position
• Join 4 Physicians and 3 APPs
• Base salary $700,000+ WRVU bonus (Base salary is negotiable)
• $50,000+ sign-on bonus
• Outpatient only position Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• 8+ hours protected admin time weekly
• 15-20 patients per day
• Call 1:4 telephone call-also supported by after-hours nurse triage
• 40% Oncology/60% Hematology
• Duke affiliated
• Visits: Initial cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups and management of hematologic conditions
• Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, etc.
• 10-chair infusion center with onsite lab and pharmacy
• PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI and high definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy
• Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI and ENT
• Duties may include: leading and mentoring physicians, APPs and oncology nurses. Collaborate with hospital leadership and Duke Cancer network. Engage in strategic planning, develop new treatment services or community outreach, and improve clinic workflow and ensure high-quality care.
