Required Skills:
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in Washington State
- Proven experience in managing hematology and oncology cases
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with bone marrow aspirations (optional)
- Prior work in hospital outpatient and inpatient settings
- Ability to handle a volume of 16-20 patients daily
- Flexibility for rotating weekend call duties
- Comfort with outpatient procedures and follow-up care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology
- Previous locum or temporary shift experience preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Coverage begins as soon as possible, with credentialing completing within 60-90 days
- Availability for a 6-month commitment with the possibility of extension
- Must be willing to work nights optionally, although current focus is on day shifts
- No specific BMT/BMB procedures mandatory
- Travel and lodging arrangements are flexible and negotiated as needed
- Compensation details: Hourly pay rate to be confirmed; rate caps and ancillary pay are outlined, including orientation, holiday, on-call, and callback rates
