Permanent Position: Hematology Oncology Physician in Anderson, SC
AnMed is seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center located in the beautiful city of Anderson, South Carolina. Nestled along South Carolina’s National Heritage Corridor, the greater Anderson area boasts a fast-growing and diverse population of approximately 185,000 residents. This state-of-the-art facility has been accredited by the Commission on Cancer since 1984, providing comprehensive cancer care with a robust support system. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient care, with minimal hospital rounds.
- Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, ensuring at least 32 hours of patient contact weekly.
- Participate in on-call coverage for oncology patients (no weekends required).
- Contribute to the rebuilding phase of the oncology practice.
- See an average of 15-25 patients per day, with approximately 1200 new cancer cases annually.
- Utilize Epic EMR and on-site laboratory services.
- Collaborate with supportive leadership and a collegial medical staff.
- Access nationwide clinical trials through UC-NCORP.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology.
- Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Ability to work as the primary physician until additional staffing is hired.
- Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a South Carolina Medical License.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start).
- Permanent Placement Fee of $35K.
