Job Opportunity: Physician - Hematology Oncology

AnMed is excited to welcome a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist to their state-of-the-art Cancer Center located in Anderson, SC. Nestled in South Carolina's National Heritage Corridor, the greater Anderson area boasts a vibrant community featuring diverse recreational activities and a growing population of about 185,000 residents. This facility has maintained a Commission on Cancer Accreditation since 1984 and is equipped with advanced oncology services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient care, with minimal hospital rounds.
  • Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (32 minimum patient contact hours) plus on-call responsibilities.
  • Manage practice call and inpatient care for oncology patients (no weekend duties).
  • Participate in the rebuilding phase of the practice.
  • Handle approximately 1200 new cancer cases annually, with an average patient load of 15-25 per day.
  • Collaborate with a supportive leadership team and medical staff.
  • Utilize Epic EMR and access nationwide clinical trials through our UC-NCORP.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology (Board Certified preferred).
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology.
  • Clean malpractice and license history.
  • South Carolina medical license or willingness to obtain.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days).
  • DEA and CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Must maintain a valid South Carolina medical license.
  • Board Certification in Hematology/Medical Oncology is highly preferred.
  • Visa support available for J1 or H1B candidates.
