🌟 Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed | Hartford, CT | Outpatient & Inpatient | Start ASAP

Opportunity Overview:
Join a leading healthcare institution in Hartford, Connecticut as a Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide vital inpatient consults and outpatient clinic care. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice within a collaborative, well-supported team while enjoying a stable weekday schedule with minimal weekend and night call responsibilities. Local providers are strongly preferred for fast onboarding and easy integration into the team.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approx. 130 days from offer acceptance)

• Schedule:

  • 3 Clinic Days/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

  • Infrequent weekend (2–3 per year) and weeknight call (1:10)

• Setting: Inpatient Consults + Outpatient Clinic

• Patient Volume:

  • 15/day in outpatient clinic

  • 10/day in hospital consults

• EMR: Epic

• Trauma Level: Level I

Team Structure:

• 10 Physicians + 8 APPs

• Strong team-based support for continuity of care

• Focused on adult and geriatric population (no internal medicine or pediatrics)

Clinical Focus:

• 80% Hematology / 20% Oncology

• Standard case mix across both settings

• Support from APPs and experienced clinical staff

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology – Required

• Active Connecticut Medical License at Submission – No Exceptions

• Local Providers Only (No Flights) – Highly Preferred
