Leukemia & Bone Marrow Hematology/Oncology Faculty | New Orleans, Louisiana

Minimum 50% Protected Academic Time


Tulane University School of Medicine is recruiting a Hematology and Oncology faculty member with a subspecialty focus in Leukemia or Bone Marrow Transplant to join a program where research leadership is built into the role, not tacked on. With at least 50% protected time, an active clinical trials portfolio, and a New Orleans address, this is an academic appointment worth a serious look.


Practice Details


  • Academic Hematology and Oncology faculty role with a focus on Leukemia or Bone Marrow Transplant
  • At least 50% protected time dedicated to research and academic pursuits

Clinical and Research Trials


  • Trial 1: Phase III study in relapsed or refractory AML patients who have failed two to four prior induction therapies, with a 1:1 enrollment ratio between two treatment arms
  • Trial 2: Comparison of LOXO-305 versus idelalisib plus rituximab or bendamustine plus rituximab in previously treated CLL or SLL patients with prior BTK inhibitor exposure
  • Trial 3: Evaluation of blinatumomab in CD19-positive mixed phenotypic acute leukemia in patients with relapsed, refractory, or MRD-positive disease
  • Trial 4: Two-part dose confirmation and dose-finding study of venetoclax combined with AZA and CC-486 to establish the recommended Phase 3 dosing for each combination
  • Trial 5: Assessment of galinpepimut-S versus best available therapy in AML patients in second or subsequent complete remission

Candidate Requirements


  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
  • Subspecialty focus or experience in Leukemia or Bone Marrow Transplant
  • Strong interest in clinical trial leadership, academic publishing, and translational research
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring in a multidisciplinary academic environment
