Locum Tenens Hematology Oncology Physician – Oregon
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician – Hematology Oncology
Location: Oregon
Rate: $270/hr
Shift: 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with an admin day or half-day if needed
Start Date: 04/01/2025
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:
- Setting: Outpatient – Free-standing cancer center
- Call Schedule: 7 days of call per month, including one weekend (1:4 rotation)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, one weekend per month
- Support Staff: 2 APPs currently providing coverage
- Average Patient Load:
- Outpatient Clinic: 10-15 patients per day
- Hospital (Call/Rounding): Only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemo
- EMR System: EPIC
- Trauma Level: 3
- Reason for Coverage: Physician retirement/relocations
- Radiation Oncologists on Staff: Yes
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in BOTH Hematology and Oncology – REQUIRED
- Active Oregon license – Preferred (Will consider providers willing to obtain)
- Clean background/no malpractice – Highly Preferred
- Self Query – NPDB at time of presentation – Required
- CAQH login and password – Required at time of offer
- DEA – Verbal confirmation required at name clear
- Must meet criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
- 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training required (Testing out is an option – 2 hours)
- OT is after 40 hours (Workweek: Sunday – Saturday)
Certification Requirements:
- BLS
- Oregon State License (or willing to obtain)
