We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Hematology Oncology in Iowa.

Position Details:
- Patient Population: Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial
- Setting: Outpatient (Primary and Secondary Clinics) & Inpatient Coverage
- Responsibilities:
- Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage for 2 OP at secondary clinics (no transplants)
- 3 OP days per week at the primary clinic
- IP coverage at both sites (APP will cover for provider)
- Patient assessments, new & ongoing treatment plans, chemotherapy management, pain management, end-of-life care
- Supervision of APPs expected
- Teaching opportunities (Informal)
- Required Procedures: General Hematology/Oncology patient management
- EMR System: AllScripts (transitioning to Epic in May 2025)
- Support Staff: 3 Physicians, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, 0.5 Ancillary Staff per provider (Scheduler, Biller, CNA)
- Days Per Month: 8 days per month at West Des Moines Cancer Center (Outreach)
- On-Call/Weekends: Dependent on the number of Locums/Part-Time Providers
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
- Board Certified in Hematology - PREFERRED
- Fellowship trained in Medical Oncology/Hematology - REQUIRED
- Active Iowa License - REQUIRED
