Permanent Medical Director - Hematology Oncology in Mason City, IA
Join a thriving healthcare facility dedicated to improving quality and outcomes for patients. This full-time Medical Director position in Hematology/Oncology is based at a state-of-the-art Cancer Center located in Mason City, Iowa, known for its compassionate care and innovative treatment options.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the future Medical Oncology team in a comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Foster a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.
- Develop engaged and empowered colleagues.
- Manage a busy outpatient practice with ready patient volume.
- Oversee a team of 4 Hematology Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and 4 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary weekly tumor boards with on-site specialists.
- Utilize a well-supported environment to maintain an excellent work-life balance.
- Engage in minimal call (phone only, 1:4) with a robust hospitalist team managing inpatient responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (must achieve Board Certification within 3 years) or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC (or willingness to obtain).
- Current BLS certification (by the time of start).
- DEA and CDS certifications (by the time of start).
- Preferred prior experience in a leadership role.
License and Certification Requirements:
