Locum Hematology Oncology Physician Michigan

Two Distinct Opportunities: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) or Hybrid Rotation (0.5 FTE)

We are seeking two Hematology/Oncology physicians for an urgent, long-term need in Michigan. This assignment offers a rare balance of high-volume clinical practice and a manageable call structure, with prioritized 30-day credentialing for quick-start candidates.

The Opportunities

Your choice between two coverage models to fit your schedule and lifestyle:

• Option 1: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.
  • Focus: Consistent on-site presence for patient continuity.
  • Duration: Ongoing long-term block (6+ months).
• Option 2: Rotating Schedule (0.5 FTE)
  • Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Eligible for 1 week remote / 1 week on-site per rotation.
  • Availability: Specific blocks available through December 2026 (see below).

Practice Highlights

• Setting: Outpatient clinic focus with inpatient consults/rounding as needed.
• Support Team: 1 APP and dedicated Medical Assistants (no APP supervision required).
• Tech: Fully integrated EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 15-24 patients per day.
• Scope: General Hematology and Medical Oncology; no surgeries or procedures required.

Call Structure (Phone-Only)

• Weeknights: After-hours phone call (4:30p-8a) for established patients only.
• Weekends: Shared call/phone coverage with virtual inpatient rounding on weekends.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Dual BC in Hematology & Oncology required (BE within 5 years considered).
• Experience: Minimum 12 months; must have seen 24 Hem and 24 Onc cases in the last year.
• Licensure: Michigan license preferred; IMLC/LOQ candidates highly encouraged.
• Credentialing: Typically 30 days; applications are prioritized based on start date.
