Hematology / Oncology Physician Opportunity in Upstate New York
Physician-Led Practice | Path to Medical Director | $700K-$900K+ Total Compensation
RPCI Oncology, PC, affiliated with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join its established oncology program in Oneida, New York. This position supports a growing regional cancer program with strong referral volume, deep institutional backing, and a defined leadership transition plan. Physicians practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with access to advanced resources while maintaining autonomy and balance.
Practice Overview
- Physician-led oncology practice affiliated with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Partnership with Oneida Healthcare, a long-standing regional health system
- Comprehensive hematology and oncology care with a broad disease mix
- Access to multidisciplinary tumor boards and subspecialty consultation
- Expanding clinical trial access through the Roswell Park network
Clinical Environment & Support
- Single primary site
- 12-chair infusion suite with an onsite USP 797 compliant oncology pharmacy
- Dedicated oncology pharmacist and experienced infusion nursing team
- APP-supported care model with Nurse Practitioners in the clinic and care coordination
- New on-campus radiation oncology and advanced radiology services
Schedule & Call
- Clinic schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Fridays until noon
- Average patient volume of 20 to 25 patients per day shared with APPs
- Hospital call rotation of 1:2, with inpatient presence about once per month
- Clinic call rotation of 1:4 with plans to move to 1:5
- Daily administrative time is built into the schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary for five years with wRVU productivity bonuses
- Total compensation potential of $700,000 to $900,000 or more
- Signing bonus, student loan repayment, and up to $10k relocation assistance
- 10 weeks of PTO, CME, retirement match, and malpractice coverage
Leadership & Growth
- Work closely with the current Medical Director with structured mentorship
- Defined pathway to assume the Medical Director role over time
- Involvement in program development and service line growth
- High degree of clinical autonomy with minimal administrative burden
