Locums – Red Bluff, California, Hematology/Oncology Opening
- Clinical Role:

- July 22-28 & Aug 3-11
- Monday – Thursday, 7a – 5:30p with night call
- Friday – Sunday, 24-Hour Remote Call Coverage
- Setting: Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center, no hospital consults required
- Current Call Coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
- MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist for any admissions. No oncology inpatient services at local hospital
- FET: 1.0 FTE
- Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies
- Required Procedures: N/A. Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- 15-21 Patients Mon-Thurs shared between the MD and NP with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule
- Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
- Reason for Coverage: Locum identified previously needed to cancel, reopening
- Board Certification Required (Preferred in both Hem and Onc, will accept Hem or Onc). Will consider BE
- Medical Oncology Fellowship Required
- CA DEA, BLS, ACLS Required
- Active CA License - Required
