**Medical Oncologist/ Hematology Oncologist opening in Coupeville, Washington**
- Located in Coupeville, WA - Seattle 55m
**Position Details:**
- Part-time, days 10 hour, 3 days/wk
- In search of an experienced oncologist who can rise to our high standards of cancer care
- The ideal candidate is compassionate and listens to every patients concerns, preferences, and needs in order to help achieve the best outcome
- This requires a keen understanding of the latest techniques in diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, as well as newer techniques such as interventional radiology and immunotherapy
- Above all, the oncologist should have a passion for meeting the needs of patients and their families in every phase of their cancer journey
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to accurately assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Participate as a key member of the patient-care team in implementing treatment plans and monitoring patient progress.
- Utilize and promote approved standards of care, procedures, methods, techniques, safety precautions, and study protocols.
- Participate in the development, review, and evaluation of standard operating procedures and study-specific procedures.
- Mentor junior members of the treatment team, attend tumor conferences and cancer committee meetings
- Responsibilities:
- Order tests including biopsy, blood, and imaging to confirm a diagnosis and monitor effectiveness of therapy.
- Provide patients with detailed information regarding cancer, their prognosis, and possible interventions or treatment options.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans, with measurable goals, that provide the highest level of care while conforming to patient preference.
- Maintain quality of life for patients by managing cancer-related pain and the symptoms and side effects of treatment.
- Reassess as disease treatment progresses, and pursue alternative therapies, palliative care, or hospice care when necessary.
**Education**
- Graduate of an accredited medical school; MD or DO.
- Satisfactory completion of approved residency in hematology/oncology.
**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:**
- Current professional licensure in Washington State required.
- Board Certified in hematology/oncology, active, from the US or Canada.
- Active unrestricted DEA license required.
- BLS Required.
**Benefit Information and Wage Transparency:**
- Employees who work a 0.5 FTE or higher are categorized as, benefit eligible.
- Full-Time Salary Range: $500,000 - $600,000 (Salary and Sign-On will be prorated for Part-Time)
- Sign-On Bonus Available Up To $20K
