Schedule

• Scheduled clinic hours + call
• Mon - Fri
  • 8a - 5p
• 1 week a month for clinic
• Call starts Monday AM - Monday AM
  • 7 days a month

Clinical Details

• Outpatient
• Patients per shift: 12-15
• Stroke certified facility
• Oncology clinic is attached to the treatment center and hospital
• 100% Adult
• 40% Hematology, 60% Oncology
• Radiation oncologists and hematologists/oncologists present
• Lab and x-ray onsite
• There will be acute leukemia & malignant hem patients but those are transferred to a bigger facility as they can not be treated here
• BMT & BMB are not required to be performed by the locum candidate
• New consults are given 1 hour time slots
• Follow ups are given 30 minute time slots

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active CA License
• BLS
• 2 years of inpatient activity
• Must have case logs showing acute care experience

Call

• Beeper
• Call response time required: 20 minutes
• Call ratio: 1:4
• If provider gets a call in clinic, the patient will be seen by the permanent provider they are assigned to
• Only calls after hours at night will be the ones the provider needs to mostly address
  • Those calls come in via cell phone
• Rarely physically called back in
• Mainly phone calls
