Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming and the site of F.E. Warren Air Force Base. It is called the "Magic City of the Plains." It's the state's oldest and largest city. It is strategically situated at a major transportation hub (the intersection of Interstates 25 and 80 and two major railroads), lending it as a developing center of commerce. Being only 40 miles from Ft. Collins, CO and 90 minutes north of Denver, CO, Cheyenne sits as the northern anchor city of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains for great escapes to ski resorts, such as the Medicine Bow National Forest and in the Colorado Rockies.
Attributes of the position include:
- Clinic Schedule is Monday – Thursday 8:00AM – 4:30PM and Fridays from 8:00AM – 3:00PM.
- Clinic Call is approximately every 3rd weekend and 1-2 days per weekday. Inpatient call is unrestricted and providers round on patients admitted under provider’s care as needed. Consults are received while on call.
- Procedures: 20% Hematology / 80% Oncology
- Typical outpatient clinic schedule averages 12 to 16 patients per day with 1-2 new consults per day.
- Support Staff available: LPN that will complete rooming and scheduling (MA for back up as needed) and RN Triage Nurse on-site.
