ECU Health Physicians and The Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, located in Washington, North Carolina, are seeking a BE/BC Fellowship trained Hematology Oncologist to join their cancer program. Applicants should have an interest in growing a community-based general oncology practice. Experienced applicants are preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Clinical responsibilities will include: developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice provider on follow up patients, and participation in tumor board
  • Participation in a 9 -hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network
  • Close collaboration with the ECU Health Cancer Care team which includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC is a 142-bed full-service hospital with an active medical staff of more than 50 physicians representing 20+ specialties, as well as more than 600 nurses, technicians and support staff. The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, pulmonology, orthopedics, urology, cardiology, and women’s services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. ECU Health Beaufort also features the Marion L.
