Coverage type: Call+Clinic
Schedule: 4-5 days per week day shift. night call 1 evening per 6; 5 pm to 8 am
Schedule: 4-5 days per week day shift. night call 1 evening per 6; 5 pm to 8 am. Call volumes low- average 1-2 calls per night
Reason for coverage: Coverage while we recruit to replace two physicians that will be leaving the practice
What makes an ideal candidate: Experienced, hard worker, good communicator, compassionate, kind, strong clinically, timely closure of files.
Average patients per day, new vs. returning: 10-20
Percent of hematology vs medical oncology patients: Benign Hem- 10%, Oncology- 90%
How many patients are clinic? Inpatient: (Clinic/Office): 15 / (Inpatient/Rounding): 10
Will rounding at the hospital be involved: Yes
120 day credentialing timeframe from the time all documents are submitted.
Other Medical Oncologists on staff: 5 oncologists
What other supporting staff (NP, PA, scribe, etc.): 1 hospital NP; 3 clinic NP/PAs
Clinical capabilities required: Mgmt. of VAD/CV Catheters- assessment of port integrity and Chemotherapy - Intrathecal. Participation on a Tumor Board, Orders Tests, Orders Images, Prescribes, and Management of chemo-related side effects
Minimum Board Certification: BE
