Location: Lafayette, IN - Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist and Hematologist to join our Cancer Services Program.Culture:
- A culture where excellence is expected. The oncology program is CoC and NAPBC accredited, and JCAHO accredited in our hospital space
- Providers are very interactive throughout the multi-specialty group coordinating care effectively
- The team is highly engaged in System Effectiveness and in ongoing quality improvement
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent provides independent diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team in achieving patient care plan goals
- Provides medical supervision of the interdisciplinary team and supervises residents and medical students
- Participates in clinical research projects of interest
- Remains current and professionally competent
- Shares call responsibilities with other physician members of the assigned areas. 1 in 4 weeks
- Participates in medical audits, QA programs, investigations, peer review, and other inquiries relating to the standards of professional care
Requirements:
- Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Oncology
- MD/DO Indiana license or eligible
