Healthcare System is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join its high-performing cancer team in Kalamazoo, MI.

  • 6 physicians adding a 7th due to volume, 5 APP’s
  • Brand new cancer center
  • Would be 1:7 call, block afternoon schedules when on-call, Fri –Fri
  • APP supports admissions and inpatient work
  • In the practice see 15-20 patients / day
  • When rounding on patients will see 3-4 patients roughly / day
  • Maybe 2-3 new consults / week inpatient
  • There is a nurse and MA assigned to every provider in the clinic
  • We have an infusion scheduling team, multiple schedulers to help patients
  • Have a hemophilia treatment center
  • 36 infusion chairs
  • 3 exam rooms dedicated to each provider in practice
  • Each physician has a practice RN also we have 3 person nurse navigation team
  • Resources; nurse navigation , social work, dietary, financial navigator,
  • Clinical trials available, research RN’s, we are NCI consortium, Have RN who speaks with patients about pharmaceutical meds they receive orally or by IV
  • Palliative care providers in center twice / week
  • Tumor Boards – multidisciplinary conferences
