Seeking an experienced, fellowship-trained, BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join the Cancer Care Hematology Oncology team with an interest in growing a general oncology practice in northeast North Carolina.

Job Highlights include:

  • Employment by ECU Health Physicians
  • Monday – Friday in outpatient setting
  • Established team of experienced nurses and navigators
  • Support with advanced practice provider
  • Shared regional call
  • Outpatient clinical responsibilities focused on the following –
    • Developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients
    • Chemotherapy oversight
    • Supervising advance practice provider on follow up patients
    • Leading tumor board
  • Accredited by the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer and is designated as a Community Cancer Program.
  • Include a infusion suite with 6 chairs looking out to a healing garden, a team of experience nurses and navigators, radiation oncology services with a linear accelerator.
  • Serve as an active member of the Cancer of Committee to provide better patient outcomes
  • Affiliation with established academic tertiary program in Greenville NC and other regional oncologists. Access to medical school-based faculty and specialists including radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, disease site specific oncology teams and neuro specialists
  • Built in referral network
  • System-wide integrated EMR—EPIC
  • Close proximity to NC and VA beaches
