Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Opportunity - Stevens Point, WI Position OverviewAspirus Health is seeking a locum tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital. This is a scheduled clinical hours plus call position starting September 4, 2026, on an ongoing basis. The position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in a collaborative inpatient and outpatient setting with an average of 12-20 deliveries per month.
Key Responsibilities
24-hour call coverage every day including weekends
4 hours of clinic patients Monday-Friday including OB, general gynecology, pessary management, and annual appointments
Review lab results for other locums and manage in-basket questions as part of clinic duties
Serve as a resource for nursing staff
Manage inpatient deliveries and obstetric care with an average of 12-20 deliveries per month
Coordinate care with on-staff Certified Nurse Midwife
Round on assigned patients
Clinic and birthing center are located on the same floor for convenient workflow
Candidate Requirements
Board certification eligible or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active medical license in Wisconsin or IMLC membership
Current BLS certification
Fellowship training preferred
Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
Must be available for 2026 dates: September 4-11, September 25-October 1, and November 16-22
Competency with Epic EHR system
ACT 10 acceptable

Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is a Level 3 trauma center and Level 3 pediatric facility
Staffing includes 2-3 RNs and 1-2 MAs during clinical operations
Located on the same floor as the birthing center for seamless inpatient-outpatient coordination
On-staff Certified Nurse Midwife enhances collaborative care delivery
Orientation rate of $150/hour provided
