SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Limited On-Call


COMPENSATION:
- $250,000 to $300,000 Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This large medical group employs more than 400 providers (physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners) across multiple locations in several states, and more than 25 specialty service lines. They are currently seeking new physicians for a location in New Smyrna Beach due to growth.



POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The GYN surgeon will have a strong referral base and access to supporting specialists, allowing for a robust patient base and provision of a strong continuum of care.

The position is focused on gynecological surgery utilizing the latest developments and advanced techniques and treatments. The surgeon will diagnose and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions and improve patient outcomes for conditions such as endometriosis, leiomyomas, and adnexal masses. The surgeon will also prevent, recognize, and manage potential surgical complications derived from gynecologic surgeries.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- review patient histories and perform physical examinations
- perform hysterectomies / myomectomies
- diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy / laparoscopy
- diagnostic cystoscopy
- endometrial ablation
- LEEP
- colposcopy
- hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy
- vulvar biopsy
- pessary care

The average number of patients per day varies by need and physician preference. Visits and surgeries are scheduled based on the estimated length of time needed to ensure optimal attention for each patient.

Physicians work with dedicated clinical assistants who room and prep patient visits, as well as assist during the visits as needed. The practice has ample resources, including support from nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants, and robotic surgery capabilities.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

On-call duties are minimal and shared among the providers.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Florida medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Gynecology
- Fellowship Training, Gynecological Surgery
- 2+ years practice experience
- comfortable working as a solo provider in a busy office
