Gynecologic Oncology Opportunity - Morgantown, WV (Home to West Virginia University - Breathtaking Views & Endless Outdoor Recreation)
Mid Altantic Gynecologic Oncology of Mon General Hospital is currently seeking a BC/BE gynecologic oncologist to join our hospital-employed practice.
Our practice currently has a board certified gynecologic oncologists providing comprehensive care to a large patient population in West Virginia and surrounding states. We truly serve an underserved population and have a robust referral base. Our patients come various distances from across West Virginia and surrounding states traveling upwards of 3 hours to receive care as we are uniquely positioned to do so. Our practice has the benefits and services similar to an academic center packaged in a community setting. This includes access to a da Vinciâ robot and state of the art laparoscopic equipment. We have an active and evolving research program including open clinical trials and an NRG membership via affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh. Our group consists of mid-level providers who assist in the office and operating room as well as chemotherapy administration, experienced registered nurses and medical assistants.
Mon Health Medical Center, a 189-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in the center of Morgantown, recently completed a $92M renovation and expansion. Mon Health Medical Center is one of only 2% of hospitals nationally awarded both a Patient Safety Award and a Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades, a leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. Gynecologic oncology is under the umbrella of the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center, and includes hematology/oncology and radiation oncology. We also have the honor and distinction of being a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program (CCCP).
Morgantown, West Virginia is an active college town being the home of West Virginia University. Collegiate sports abound. There are many outdoor activities available including boating and swimming at Cheat Lake and hiking, camping or rafting at the beautiful local parks. It is a very affordable city to live in, buy a house and raise a family with reputable schools. It is 1.5 hours to Pittsburgh, PA, 3.5 hours to Cleveland, 3 hours to Baltimore and 4 hours to Washington, DC.
