We are seeking an individual with the desire and proven track record to lead the Gynecologic Oncology Program across all Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center locations, but be based in our Gilbert, AZ Cancer Center. They should have clinical expertise, academic accomplishments, and robust administrative experience as they will oversee all aspects of gynecologic cancer center in the program.

The Section Chief for Gynecologic Oncology will lead the Gynecological Oncology Program across all Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center locations. This position will be responsible for the growth of the multidisciplinary program, recruitment and retention of faculty, implementation of a robust clinical research program and oversight of clinical trials.

This program is the broadest extension of MD Anderson’s services outside of Houston and brings an unprecedented level of cancer care to the Phoenix and Northern Colorado Regions.

BMDACC currently has 80 active clinical trials, over 400 patients accrued, and over 40 research staff. The program has numerous publications in the most respected medical journals, which include four recent publications in the New England Journal of Medicine. BMDACC saw over 7,000 new patients last year and had 152,000 total patient visits. The Center did 75 stem-cell transplants and was the first to perform CAR T-call therapy in Arizona. Today, in addition to the main Cancer Center at Banner Gateway Medical Center, the program provides services at six other Banner facilities, four in Arizona and two in Northern Colorado.

This position will provide outstanding strategic, clinical and research leadership; work collaboratively and effectively with Division Chiefs, administrative, and clinical leadership across BMDACC to ensure unified direction and the consistent provision of high-quality, integrated, patient- centered care. They will need to build and maintain a collaborative and productive relationships across the BMDACC, Banner Health, and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
