🏥 Job Overview
Locum Tenens Gynecologic Oncology opportunity in an academic-affiliated hospital system. The role includes OR coverage, clinic responsibilities, and collaboration with APPs and residents in a structured oncology practice.
📅 Schedule & Duration
- Duration: July – January (approx. 13 weeks equivalent coverage)
- Schedule:
- 1 week per month coverage
- Includes select extended coverage period (Sept 19 – Oct 9)
- Shifts: Day OR / Office schedule
- Call: After-hours call required (APPs take first call)
- Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Responsibilities
Surgical management of gynecologic oncology cases
Outpatient oncology gynecology clinic care
Participation in OR-based tumor surgeries
Collaboration with APPs and resident physicians
Post-operative and longitudinal cancer care management
After-hours call coverage (low first-call burden due to APP triage)
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC eligibility
DEA registration required
Experience in academic or hospital-based oncology settings preferred
Ability to manage complex surgical oncology cases
Working Hours
1 week per month coverage (with occasional extended block)
Day OR + outpatient clinic duties
After-hours call required (APPs take first call)
