Job description
A physician-led medical group in Colorado Springs, Colorado is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join a well-established, high-volume practice. This opportunity offers access to advanced surgical technology, clinical trials, multidisciplinary oncology support, and a strong referral network across multiple primary care and OB/GYN clinics.
Physicians will practice in a collaborative environment supported by a dedicated Nurse Navigator, GYN-specialized Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, and advanced practice providers. The role provides both outpatient focus and surgical practice within a Level I Trauma Center equipped with the da Vinci XI surgical system and onsite infusion services.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform advanced surgical procedures including minimally invasive robotic surgery
• Manage an average of 15–22 patients per day (new and follow-up visits)
• Primarily outpatient practice with shared inpatient consult responsibilities
• Participate in a 1:2 shared call rotation (weekend call only while on call)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams including Radiation Oncology and Pathology
• Participate in tumor boards, research trials, and clinical studies
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation
• Option to teach medical students (not required)
Qualifications
• Fellowship-trained in Gynecologic Oncology (completion prior to start required)
• Active Colorado medical license (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA license (must obtain prior to start)
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at presentation
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Must be seeking permanent placement (not accepting Locums)
• Open to 2024 graduating fellows
• Visa candidates not accepted
Working Hours
• Primarily outpatient schedule
• Shared 1:2 call rotation (weekends only while on call)
• Credentialing timeline: Approximately 90 days
Skills
• Proficiency with robotic-assisted surgery (da Vinci platform preferred)
• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Experience managing complex oncologic cases
• Patient-centered communication and counseling
• Clinical research and trial participation interest
• EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
