Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pediatric Geneticist to join our team. As a Pediatric Geneticist, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating genetic disorders in children and adolescents. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive genetic evaluations, counseling families, and coordinating care for pediatric patients with genetic conditions.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough genetic evaluations of pediatric patients, including medical history assessments, physical examinations, and genetic testing.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of genetic disorders in children, including chromosomal abnormalities, metabolic disorders, neurogenetic conditions, and syndromes.
Provide genetic counseling to pediatric patients and their families, explaining the implications of genetic test results, discussing recurrence risks, and offering guidance on family planning options.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, genetic counselors, nurses, social workers, and other specialists, to develop comprehensive care plans for pediatric patients with genetic conditions.
Participate in genetic research initiatives, clinical trials, and educational programs, contributing to advancements in the field of pediatric genetics and the improvement of patient care.
Stay updated on the latest developments, guidelines, and advancements in pediatric genetics through continuing medical education, conferences, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility for certification in Clinical Genetics or Medical Genetics.
Valid medical license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and managing pediatric genetic disorders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex genetic information to pediatric patients and their families.
