JOB DESCRIPTION:
Healthcare group 45 minutes from Durham has a great opportunity for a Gastroenterologist recently trained or just completing fellowship to join our highly regarded group of 7 gastroenterologists.
We enjoy a broad primary care referral base for our group, enabling us to focus exclusively on consultative and procedural gastroenterology. Call is 1:6. ERCP and advanced endoscopic skills preferred but not required; EUS optional.
We offer a competitive initial guaranteed salary during the non-shareholder period of employment, plus a productivity bonus opportunity during the non-shareholder period of employment. Equal shareholdership for the GI office is available for new graduates after 2 fiscal years. The shareholder income distribution formula is almost entirely productivity based.

Patients of the group who require hospitalization are admitted and followed by Hospitalists. Communications among the family physicians and the hospitalists are excellent. At the 3 hospitals, there is a comprehensive range of secondary and tertiary level diagnostic and treatment services and 800+ beds. The family medicine residency program is affiliated with UNC Medical Center.
