School of Medicine, Department of Medicine announces a faculty opportunity in the Section of Digestive Diseases for an academic Gastroenterologist.
*Join five faculty with two additional physicians to start in 2020 and one in 2021
*Recruitment in response to support growth of adding faculty to an outstanding Gastroenterology program
*Growing Section of Digestive Diseases offers opportunities to build and design programs within a large referral academic center
*Successful candidate will be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
*Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program, required
*Gastroenterology fellowship at the time of appointment, required
*GI and Hepatology service with a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
*Exposure to clinically challenging cases
*New and expanding endoscopy center includes state-of-the-art suites for ERCP and advanced procedures
*Tremendous institutional support for academic pursuits particularly pertaining to chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease is available
*Organization is comprised of a School of Medicine; seven hospitals and a children’s hospital, all anchored by a 645-bed academic medical center that offers tertiary and quaternary care
