Job Details

  • BC in Gastroenterology
  • Established, Multi-Specialty group practice
  • Join 1 Gastroenterologist and 1 APRN in the practice
  • Hours are Monday – Friday 8am5pm
  • Clinic days 15 patients / Scope days 15 patients
  • The physicians rotate clinic days. When one is in clinic the other would be doing procedures
  • Majority of care is done in the outpatient side 
  • Average 1 or 2 consults per day
  • Hospitalist program in use; GI physicians are never the admitting physician 
  • Physicians are expected to provide clinical services 36 hours per week. This can be in office or in surgery
  • Weeknights can be flexible between physicians
  • Every other weekend call.  After hour patient phone calls are minimal to none.  After hour hospital calls are minimal to none 
  • Hospital consults average 1 or 2 a day
  • Housed in 3 medical office buildings that are each connected
  • The GI suite houses 3 providers with 9 exam rooms
  • Candidate must enjoy doing general GI
  • Candidate must be committed to excellence and have an authentic personality
  • This opportunity exists for growth
  • Must be able to perform Colonoscopy, EGD, Esophageal banding, Fecal transplant
  • ERCP would be nice but not required
  • Lab, x-ray, capsule endoscopy equipment available
  • The physician must be able to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes
  • Fantastic salary. MGMA (Medical Group Management Associate) for salary and WRVU calculations
  • The salary is tied to a specific number of WRVUs, if a provider sees more RUVs they can bonus
  • Income Guarantee for 2 years, however, if for some reason after 2 years the Provider is not covering their salary but is making an effort to do so, salary will not be decreased
  • $50,000 sign on bonus
  • Educational Debt Forgiveness Loan. The Physician must provide proof of debt from a loan agency
  • Up to $150,000.00 directly to the lender. The loan is forgiven over 5 years – 20% forgiven every year the provider stays employed
  • A bi-weekly accrual of 6.15 PTO hours will be credited to the Physician’s account up to a maximum 160 hours for the first 2 years of employment. After 2 years of employment, the accrual increases to 9.23 PTO hours with a max of 240 hours
  • Malpractice insurance. If the provider stays for 5 years, tail is covered. If provider leaves before 5 years, they will owe a portion of the tail coverage cost
  • 403B (no-for-profit). Provider can start contributing immediately
  • Relocation upto $15,000
