Gastroenterology Opportunity in Odessa, Texas
If you are looking for immediate volume and a clear path to building a busy GI practice, this opportunity offers both. You can choose between a traditional GI role with a clinic and procedure mix, or a dedicated GI Hospitalist model. You will practice in Odessa, in the Midland Odessa metro area in West Texas.
Traditional Role (Clinic & Hospital Split)
What We Offer You
- Work Schedule: 2 clinic days and 3 procedure days per week.
- Patient Volume: 25 to 30 clinic patients per day with an immediate ramp-up due to a 4-month backlog.
- Call Structure: 7 call days per month (rarely called back into the hospital). No outpatient responsibility while on call.
- Compensation: $720,000 base salary plus RVU production incentive, $20,000 quality bonus, and $50,000 signing bonus.
GI Hospitalist
What We Offer You
- Work Schedule: Structured 7-on / 7-off rotation, alternating weeks opposite current GI Hospitalist
- Call Structure: 14 call days per month, active only during your working shift weeks (no call during off-weeks).
- Compensation: $770,000 total base salary ($720,000 base + $50,000 hospitalist bonus), $20,000 quality bonus, and $50,000 signing bonus.
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- ERCP training required, certification not mandatory, average volume is approximately 50 ERCPs.
- J-1 visa candidates considered for the 2028 class only, not available for 2027.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and patient-care skills.
