Join a dynamic and collaborative gastroenterology team at a hospital and outpatient clinic setting in beautiful Bellingham, WA. This locum tenens position is designed to fill a gap in coverage and ensure quality care to our adult patients. You will be expected to perform a range of inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology procedures, including ERCP, with support from fellow GI specialists. The assignment is for six months, and the schedule includes rotating shifts with a call requirement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care to adult patients, managing both inpatient and outpatient cases
  • Perform procedures such as ERCP with required certifications
  • Engage in hospital rounds and patient consults
  • Participate in a rotating 24-hour call schedule including weekends

Qualifications

  • Board certified in Gastroenterology
  • Licensed to practice in Washington or eligible for IMLC
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Experience with EPIC EMR and Provation GI software preferred
  • Documented proficiency in ERCP and related procedures in the past two years

Working Hours

  • Rotating shifts with 24-hour call coverage
  • Participation in clinic sessions and outpatient endoscopy/surgery centers

Skills

  • Proficiency in a range of gastroenterology procedures, including advanced endoscopic techniques
  • Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively with other GI specialists
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
