Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage in Wisconsin. This assignment will provide outpatient GI procedure coverage along with inpatient GI call responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing outpatient endoscopy procedures and managing GI-related inpatient consults and call coverage.

Daily Schedule

Procedure days begin approximately 8:00 AM

Procedures run until approximately 3:30–4:00 PM

Outpatient GI scopes

24/7 GI call coverage during assigned dates
Clinical Responsibilities

Perform outpatient GI procedures

Provide inpatient GI consultation coverage

Manage GI call responsibilities

Respond to urgent GI-related patient needs

Provide appropriate documentation in Epic
-
Collaborate with onsite clinical support staff
Patient Volume
-
Approximately 15–18 scopes per day
-
Inpatient GI census: approximately 2–3 patients
Call Responsibilities
-
24/7 GI call coverage during assigned dates
-
Phone response expectation: within 5 minutes
-
Return-to-site expectation: within 30 minutes
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
-
Active Wisconsin medical license required
-
ACLS certification required
-
Eligible for hospital privileges and credentialing

Comfortable with outpatient endoscopy procedures and inpatient GI coverage

Provider should be able to perform outpatient GI procedures during scheduled procedure days while also providing GI call coverage responsibilities during the assignment.
