Locums – Jackson, Michigan, Gastroenterology Opening

Clinical Role

• Target start January 2027
• Minimum commitment of 1 week per month for at least 6 months throughout 2027
• 1 Gastroenterologist needed
• 100% inpatient, hospital-based coverage
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center

Schedule & Call

• Coverage runs Saturday at 7:00 am through the following Saturday at 6:59 am
• In-house coverage from 7:00 am-7:00 pm
• Overnight pager/beeper coverage
• Call ratio: 1:4
• Approximately 2 hours of callback per week

Practice Setting & Patient Volume

• Approximately 8 follow-up patients per day
• Approximately 6-8 new consults per day
• Epic EMR
• No leadership or teaching responsibilities

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
• Gastroenterology fellowship required
• ACLS required
• ERCP experience preferred but not required
• Clean background required
• No malpractice or license issues accepted
