Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Coverage: 100% Inpatient
Reason for Coverage: Physician shortage / inpatient call coverage
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level: II
Teaching/Leadership: No
Target Start: January 2027
ERCP Experience preferred not required
Orientation: $400/hr
24-hour coverage: $5000 (includes 12 hours in house and night call)
Call Back: $420/hr

Temporary privileges are not available

- Schedule & Call
- Commitment: 1 week per month for at least 6 months throughout 2027
- Call: 24-hour coverage
- Call Schedule: Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 6:59 AM- in-house from 7a-7p, followed by pager/beeper overnight
- In-house coverage: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Overnight: Pager/beeper coverage
- Call Ratio: Approximately 1:4
- Average Call-Back: Approximately 2 hours per week
Clinical Volume & Responsibilities
- Approximately 8 follow-up patients per day
- Approximately 6–8 new consults per day
- Inpatient GI consultations and management
- Ability to perform EGD and colonoscopy required
- ERCP and advanced GI procedure experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements :
- Updated CV - ( Mention gaps above 30 days)
- NPDB Self query - Current Month Copy - The NPDB - Home Page
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Michigan medical license required at time of submission
- ACLS and BLS through AHA required
- Clean malpractice and licensing history required
- Ability to perform outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures
- No malpractice or licensing issues
