We are seeking a Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Physician in Petoskey, MI.
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; 24-hour weekend call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM. No weekday night call.
Start Date: 10/06/2026
End Date: 01/07/2027
Position Details:
GI coverage including endoscopy and consults from 7:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Approximately 18 outpatients / 20 inpatient scopes per day.
24-hour weekend call coverage.
Coverage:
- 10/6/2026: 7 AM–5 PM Daily, No Night Call
- 10/8/2026–10/30/2026: 24-Hour Weekend Call, 7 AM–7 AM
- 11/2/2026: 7 AM–5 PM Daily, No Night Call
- 11/4/2026–11/28/2026: 24-Hour Weekend Call, 7 AM–7 AM
- 11/30/2026: 7 AM–5 PM Daily, No Night Call
- 12/3/2026–12/26/2026: 24-Hour Weekend Call, 7 AM–7 AM
- 12/28/2026: 7 AM–5 PM Daily, No Night Call
- 1/1/2027–1/2/2027: 24-Hour Weekend Call, 7 AM–7 AM
- 1/4/2027: 7 AM–5 PM Daily, No Night Call
- 1/7/2027 at 5 PM: End Date
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Endoscopy coverage, GI consultations, inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care, and weekend call coverage.
Required Procedures: Endoscopy and gastroenterology procedures.
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: 2 physicians and 2 APPs; all services onsite. Onsite laboratory and X-ray.
Days Per Month: Monday–Friday coverage with scheduled 24-hour weekend call.
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour weekend call only; no weekday night call. Four hours of the 24-hour weekend call are gratis.
Requirements:
- Board Certified; truly BE providers will be considered
- Active Michigan license and CSR at time of submission; ACLS required
- NPDB self-query within 30 days,
