Facility:
This state-of-the-art 357-bed tertiary referral center, opened in July 2023, is part of a physician-led, integrated healthcare delivery system serving a regional population of approximately 490,000. The facility features a dedicated Digestive Health Center with an outpatient endoscopy unit, 8 endoscopy suites, a motility lab, a side-by-side outpatient clinic, and two dedicated inpatient endoscopy rooms. The organization holds a University of Minnesota medical school affiliation and offers teaching, research, and community outreach opportunities.Opportunity:
Board Eligible/Board Certified - GastroenterologyJob Details:
- Join a growing Gastroenterology section as part of a planned expansion within a well-established, physician-led healthcare system
- Serve as a general Gastroenterologist with the ability to accommodate subspecialty interests including IBD, liver disease, esophageal diseases, and more
- Work within a consultative service model where an IM hospitalist service manages all GI admissions
- Supported by 11 advanced practice providers covering outpatient visits and inpatient GI consultations, including weekends
- Current physician group includes four general gastroenterologists, one GI hospitalist, and two additional general gastroenterologists joining in 2026
- Goal of building a team of 8-9 general gastroenterologists and 3 advanced endoscopists
- Minimum 1:8 call schedule goal
- ERCP and EUS experience not required
- Full spectrum of endoscopy procedures performed with opportunities to expand based on physician interest
- Teaching, research, and community outreach opportunities available
- BC/BE in Gastroenterology required
- Active Minnesota medical licensure required
