We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established private gastroenterology practice in Wilton, Connecticut. This position is primarily outpatient-based and includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, as well as the performance of GI procedures in a hospital setting and/or outpatient ambulatory surgical center. The practice offers a clear partnership track for physicians interested in long-term growth and ownership.
Call Responsibilities
- Phone-only call coverage
- No in-house, hospital, or procedural call
- Shared call schedule, if applicable
Practice Setting
Primarily outpatient clinic setting
Procedures performed in hospital and/or ambulatory surgical center
Experienced clinical and administrative support staff
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care, including consultations, follow-ups, and preventive services
Diagnose and manage disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
Perform GI procedures, including but not limited to: Upper Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, Biopsy and polypectomy, and Other standard GI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated
Perform procedures at affiliated hospital(s) and/or outpatient surgical center(s)
Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines

Salary: $450,000 annually
Sign-on Bonus: $20,000

Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
Eligible for hospital privileges in Connecticut
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Preferred: Interest in long-term practice growth and partnership
Preferred: Experience in outpatient gastroenterology or private practice setting
