Position Details:
- Specialty: Gastroenterology
- Location: Lakewood,CO
- Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Providers Needed: 3
- Ongoing Coverage Needs: 5–7 days per month
- Trauma Designation: Level 1 Trauma Center
- EMR: Epic
Required Procedures & Duties:
- ERCP
- EUS
- Endoscopy
- GI Bleed Management
- Inpatient GI Consults
- Evaluation and treatment of GI disorders
- Average volume:
- 8–10 new consults/follow-ups daily
- 5–8 scopes per day
Patient Population:
- Adult
- Geriatric
- Limited adolescent trauma patients
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- All shifts end the following morning at 7a.
- Sept 6-10
- Nov 7-11
- Nov 30-Dec 5
- Dec 21-24
- Jan 2027 ongoing dates will be presented once these dates have been filled.
- January 2027 ongoing dates available after initial coverage is filled
Facility Support:
- 24/7 hospitalists onsite
- 24/7 intensivist coverage
- 24/7 trauma services
- GI functions as a consult service only
- No admission responsibilities
Credentialing Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Gastroenterology Fellowship Required
- Active Colorado License or Active IMLC LOQ at submission
- Active DEA Required
- ERCP and EUS experience required
EMR & Training Requirements:
Providers must complete all required EMR onboarding and training prior to start:
- Pre-application and full credentialing packet
- Epic modules
- Virtual EMR training
- AD account setup process
