Permanent Gastroenterologist (Hospitalist)
Position Type: Permanent

Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Full-Time, 7 On / 7 Off Schedule
Position Details
Patient Population: Adult Gastroenterology patients
Setting: Hospital-based Gastroenterology Hospitalist Service
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient Gastroenterology consult services
- Perform advanced therapeutic GI procedures
- Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams across two hospital campuses
- Participate in teaching Internal Medicine residents and medical students
Required Procedures:
- Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy
- ERCP
- EUS
- General Gastroenterology procedures
Support Staff: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support with multidisciplinary specialty teams including Anesthesia, Interventional Radiology, Cytopathology, and Colorectal Surgery
Days Per Month: Full-Time (7 On / 7 Off)
On-Call/Weekends: NA
Requirements
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must obtain certification within 5 years)
- Active Iowa Medical License
- DEA and BLS Certification
- NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
