High Volume + High Paying General GI 24-Hour Call Coverage Locums Job in Illinois
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a Health System in Illinois that is seeking GI 24-hour call coverage starting New Years Day (January 1 - January 4 AM) and up to 7-10 days per month of ongoing coverage.
Requirements for Assignment #116350:
* Board Certified or truly Board Eligible GIs with a minimum of 100 case logs from the last 12 months that can be provided at time of presentation
* Must have an active Illinois license, CSR & DEA or LOQ with the IMLC (and willingness to get an IL CSR & DEA)
* Must be willing to complete pathology follow up / check EMR when off call to make sure time sensitive messages are delivered
* Will need to be credentialed at three different facilities (within same health system)
* Information on facilities: 110 & 150+ bed facilities, Epic EMR, larger facility has a level 2 trauma designation
* Must come in a weekday early to complete a full training on EMR & GI system
24-hour call coverage needs:
+ Seeking 1-2 GIs to cover 7-10 days per month each starting in January 2027
--Will complete a half day of procedures (8-10 procedures between 7A-12PM, Monday - Friday) followed by patient rounding
--Work an average of 10-12 hours per day, each day
--Cover 2 hospitals in tandem while on call & have APP support at each during daytime weekday hours
--Will have full anesthesia support + pre / post op patient coordination support for procedures
--Will have IR available during weekdays until 5PM, no IR available on the weekends
--ERCP/EUS not required (ERCP can be used if you do them)
2027 Procedure coverage needs:
--Seeking 1 week (M-F) of HIGH volume procedural support, no night or weekend call coverage
--Can anticipate 18-22 procedures scheduled each day (as well as approximately 25% of those cancelling)
--Will work in a flip room setting
