Schedule Details:

7:00 AM on December 24, 2026 through 7:00 AM on December 28, 2026
Provider will be added to a pool for ongoing shifts as needed.

24-hour call coverage
No clinic responsibilities
Inpatient and hospital-based coverage only

Assignment Details:

The locum provider will:
  • Cover existing GI inpatients and consults handed off by one of five local GI physicians
  • Handle new Emergency Department and inpatient GI consults
  • Perform GI procedures as needed
  • Provide inpatient rounding and hospital coverage
  • Hand off ongoing patients back to the local GI team at the conclusion of coverage

Facility Information:

  • 196-bed acute care hospital
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Adult inpatient coverage only
  • (Pediatric patients may occasionally present in the ER; however, there is no inpatient pediatric service line.)

Clinical Scope:

  • Bread and Butter Gastroenterology
  • ERCP training preferred
  • Only providers with prior GI privileges at St. Mary’s will be considered if not currently ERCP-trained

Pay on 1099:

24 hr. call rate: $3500 (6 hrs. Gratis)
Call back rate: $480 (after 6 gratis hours)
24 hr. Holiday call rate: $4500 (6 hrs. Gratis)
Holiday Call back rate: $580 (after gratis hours)

Requirements:

  • Updated CV
  • NPDB Self query
  • Board Certification: BC in Gastro
  • License Required: GA
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days, temps avail with clean file
  • ACLS, BLS, DEA, CSR
