Schedule:
Position Highlights:
- Location: Richmond, VA
- Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
- Start: ASAP / Ongoing
- Compensation: $450/hour (1099)
Schedule:
Weekend Call Coverage (Highest Priority):
- Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- 24-hour call coverage throughout the weekend
- Minimum 6 hours onsite daily, typically beginning at 7:00 AM
Weekday Coverage:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- One weekday provider may be General GI (ERCP not required)
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Inpatient Gastroenterology consults and call coverage
- Manage GI emergencies
- Perform endoscopic procedures as clinically indicated
- Appropriate resource utilization for weekend coverage (emergency cases only)
Procedure Requirements:
Advanced GI Coverage
- ERCP Required
- EUS preferred
- Must manage GI emergencies requiring advanced endoscopic intervention
General GI Coverage:
- ERCP not required for designated weekday General GI coverage
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Virginia license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with inpatient GI consults and hospital call
- ERCP proficiency required for advanced GI/call assignments
Assignment Details:
- Ongoing coverage
- Weekend coverage needed on a recurring basis
- Long-term assignment potential
