Job description
Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locums opportunity supporting inpatient GI coverage in a hospital-based setting. Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule (8 AM–5 PM) with no call, nights, or weekends. Providers will perform inpatient rounding and a variety of GI procedures, with the option to participate in outpatient procedures if interested. This is a long-term assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient consults, rounding, and patient management.
Perform upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures, including biopsy and polyp removal.
Conduct diagnostic esophageal dilation and interpret esophageal manometry studies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Optional opportunity to perform outpatient GI procedures based on provider interest.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited GI Fellowship
Active Washington medical license or eligibility through the IMLC
Active DEA certification
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience performing upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures, including biopsy and polyp removal
Ability to commit to a minimum of two weeks of coverage per month
Working Hours
Coverage Type: Inpatient Gastroenterology
Minimum Commitment: 14 shifts per month (approximately 2 weeks/month)
