Assignment Details:
- Specialty: Gastroenterology
- Position Type: Locum Tenens
- Location: Petoskey Michigan
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Call: 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays
- No Weekday Night Call
- EMR: Cerner
Current Coverage Needs:
- August 21 – August 24, 2026
- August 28 – September 10, 2026
- September 25 – October 8, 2026
Practice Highlights:
- Endoscopy coverage and inpatient GI consults
- Approximately 18 outpatient visits and 20 inpatient endoscopy procedures per day
- Hospital-based practice
- Strong clinical support from 2 Gastroenterologists and 2 Advanced Practice Providers
- On-site laboratory and imaging services
Required Procedural Experience:
- Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy
- Endoscopy procedures
- Inpatient Gastroenterology consults
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Truly Board Eligible providers will be considered)
- Active Michigan Medical License and CSR
- Current ACLS certification
- DEA required
- Minimum 2–3 years of post-fellowship experience
- Clean malpractice and background history
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Local candidates preferred
