Assignment Details:
- Specialty: Gastroenterology
- Position Type: Locum Tenens
- Location: Georgia
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call
- EMR: Epic
- Assignment: Ongoing PRN coverage
Responsibilities:
- 24-hour inpatient call coverage
- Round on existing GI inpatients
- Perform GI procedures as needed
- Manage emergency department and inpatient GI consults
- Handoff care to the local GI team at the end of the assignment
- Adult inpatient population
Required Procedural Experience:
- Bread-and-butter Gastroenterology
- ERCP experience required
- Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy
- GI consults and inpatient procedures
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Georgia Medical License
- Active Georgia DEA/CSR
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Clean malpractice and background history for expedited credentialing
- Must be local to Georgia (no flight travel)
- Self-Query NPDB report (completed within the last 30 days)
