INTERNAL MEDICINE – GASTROENTEROLOGY

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks a gastroenterology specialist to join a growing program within a regional referral center. The role supports an established team providing a broad range of digestive health services, including endoscopic procedures and outpatient care. The position contributes to program expansion driven by increasing patient volumes and ongoing service development.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology.
• Residency training in internal medicine.
• Training or experience in Gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Idaho.
• Interest in supporting a comprehensive gastroenterology program.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Skill in performing endoscopic procedures within a coordinated care model.
• Effective collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
• Capacity to support program growth and evolving service needs.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Integrated gastroenterology program with clinic and endoscopy services on a shared campus.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers.
• Access to modern endoscopy suites, imaging resources, and industry-standard EMR.
• Support from hospitalist and intensivist teams for inpatient care.
• Opportunities for involvement in medical education activities.
